Q: What is a Skin?
A: A Skin is a collection of graphic and audio files that determine how the NeoPlanet Browser interface is going to look and sound. Simply by
changing your Skin, you can make the NeoPlanet Browser a more customized Internet experience than what you're probably accustomed to.
Q: Are there more skins than what comes with the browser?
A: Absolutely. You can actually import skins directly from a web site to your client in the same way that you can with channels. To see what we have so
far, feel free to visit the Skin Gallery.
Q: How do I change from one skin to another?
A: You can change your skin quickly by clicking the "Skins" button on the toolbar. This will pop up a dialogue with a pull-down menu of all your
available skins. Just select the one you would like to use, and click the "OK" button. the NeoPlanet Browser will refresh and come up in the skin
you selected. You can also access this dialogue from the Control Panel.
How to change from skin to another:
- Click on "Skins" on the toolbar (F3).
- Select the skin you would like from the pull-down menu.
- Click "OK". The program will restart with the new skin.
Q: How do I create my own skin?
A: the NeoPlanet Browser does not come with a built-in "Skin Creator". If you want to create your own skin, you will have to create/edit graphic files in another program.
Q: Where can I find more skins?
A: To download a different skin, visit the Skin Gallery. The skin gallery is also directly accessible via the Home Channel or by clicking the "Skins"
button on the toolbar and then clicking the "Import More Skins" button.
Q: How do I import a skin?
A: To download a different skin, you can go to the Skin Gallery. In the skin gallery, you can view screenshots of the skins before downloading by
clicking on the sample. The skin will be downloaded when you click on the "Import this skin" link by the image. On other sites, simply click on the link
indicated, and you should be able to import in the same manner.
How to import a skin:
- Visit the Skin Gallery:
- Select the skin you want to download.
- Click the "Import this skin" link by the small screenshot.
Q: How do I delete a skin I don't want anymore?
A: Just click on the Skins button on the toolbar (or hit F3), and click on the skin you want to remove. Then, click on the button marked "Remove selected skin from
my hard drive". That ought to remove it immediately.
Q: What does the "Select a random skin..." option do?
A: If you have more than one skin on your system, checking this box will cause the NeoPlanet Browser to select an installed skin randomly whenever you load the client. If you have
100 skins on your system, the NeoPlanet Browser will randomly select one of them for you.
