NEOPLANET, GAY.COM LAUNCH HIVLIFE BROWSER,
PARTNER TO SUPPORT PROJECT INFORM
SAN FRANCISCO and TEMPE, Ariz., May 22, 2000 -- Gay.com (www.gay.com), the world's leading provider of products and services for the gay and lesbian market, and enhanced browser-developer NeoPlanet, Inc. (www.neoplanet.com) today announced the launch of the "HIVlife Browser" designed to simplify access to HIV and AIDS-related online health resources. In addition, NeoPlanet announced that it will donate one dollar per unique installation of the HIVlife Browser to Project Inform (www.neoplanet.com), a national AIDS information and advocacy organization. The HIVlife Browser is available free for downloading via www.projectinform.org, and features content-channels with direct links to resources and information about HIV disease, as well as a custom-branded interface designed for Gay.com's new HIVlife Channel. The HIVlife Browser is based upon NeoPlanet 5.1 and features integrated email and search, customizable interface themes, or "skins", and other enhanced features. "Project Inform welcomes the joint contributions of NeoPlanet and Gay.com to our efforts in the fight against HIV/AIDS," said Avi Rose, executive director, Project Inform. Over the next three months, NeoPlanet will continue to donate one dollar directly to Project Inform for every unique installation of the HIVlife Browser up to one million dollars.
