Custom fan browsers released for Beck, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, No Doubt
LOS ANGELES and TEMPE, Ariz., June 23, 2000 - Interscope Geffen A&M Records (www.Interscope.com), a division of the Universal Music Group, and enhanced browser-developer NeoPlanet, Inc. (http://www.neoplanet.com) today announced that Interscope Geffen A&M Records will offer music fans customized versions of NeoPlanet’s enhanced Web browser. The new browsers are designed to offer a user-friendly, fan-oriented online experience, and to help Interscope Geffen A&M both strengthen its online audience relationships, and promote its products and services.
Custom browsers have been released by Interscope Geffen A&M for Beck (www.beck.com), Big Bad Voodoo Daddy (www.bbvd.com) and No Doubt (www.nodoubt.com), and are currently available free for downloading from artist Web sites. The companies also said they plan to release an Eminem version (www.eminem.com) this summer, and possibly more artist versions later this year. Each browser features unique interface designs with artist-oriented sounds and images, direct “channel” links to the artist’s online properties, and a variety of enhanced navigation features.
