UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif., Aug. 15 -- Universal Studios Home Video is embarking on an aggressive Internet marketing campaign to promote upcoming product releases, teaming with such powerful web-forces as MSN.com, Amazon.com, Email Shows, Inc., NeoPlanet Inc., Point.Roll, Promotions.com and Pseudo.com among others. Universal Studios Home Video is quickly establishing a strong foothold on the Internet with a number of cutting-edge marketing devices as well as several industry-first events.

MSN.COM - EXCLUSIVE STREAMING VIDEO

Universal Studios Home Video has joined with the Microsoft Network to provide exclusive streaming video of the feature, ''Erin Brockovich.'' Beginning August 8 and continuing until August 22, visitors to MSN.com and WindowsMedia.com will be able to watch the opening ten minutes of ''Erin Brockovich'' -- the very first time Universal Studios Home Video has streamed a portion of a motion picture via the Internet.

AMAZON.COM - MEMORABILIA AUCTIONS

Beginning in July, Amazon Auctions has featured auctions of authentic props from some of Universal Studios Home Video's top titles including ''The Hurricane'' (auction featured July 5-14), ''American Pie'' (auction featured July 16-25), ''For Love of the Game'' (auction featured August 2-16), and ''Erin Brockovich'' (auction featured August 9-19).

EMAIL SHOWS, INC. - EMAIL MESSAGES

Email Shows, Inc. has joined Universal Studios Home Video to create eQuels(TM) -- personalized daily email messages from a film's characters. Previously, Email Shows had produced eQuels for the theatrical releases of ''Beyond the Mat'' and ''American Psycho,'' and is soon producing a series of eQuels to support the August 15 release of ''Erin Brockovich'' on VHS and DVD. eQuels allow fans to learn additional information about the characters and storylines of their favorite films through a series of personalized email messages. NEOPLANET, INC. - CUSTOM BROWSERS

To support the long-awaited DVD release of ''Jurassic Park'' and ''The Lost World'' on October 10, Universal Studios Home Video has teamed with NeoPlanet, Inc. to develop a custom-designed ''Jurassic Park'' Web Browser -- available for download at www.jurassicpark.com -- which offers fans a unique way to bring the excitement of ''Jurassic Park'' to their PCs. The browser features exclusive interface designs with sounds and images from Jurassic Park and direct channel links to the official website.

PROMOTIONS.COM - HALLOWEEN DECODER CARD

Promotions.com joined Universal Studios Home Video in designing an innovative home video industry first. Beginning August 29, forty-three Halloween video titles will be packaged with a collectible Halloween Decoder Card that enables consumers to become instant winners of thousands of prizes online, including a Grand Prize trip to Universal Studios' ''Halloween Horror Nights,'' by visiting the new website, with special decoder technology developed by Promotions.com, at www.universalthrillers.com.

POINT.ROLL - MULTI-MEDIA BANNER ADS

Point.Roll has created innovative banner ads utilizing new technology for Universal Studios Home Video's ''Erin Brockovich'' campaign. When a web user rolls their computer mouse across a standard-looking banner ad, up to eight interactive mini web page popups appear below the original ad. Each window offers the user various interactive options -- from viewing streaming video clips to sending email postcards to downloading screensavers -- all within the adspace.

PSEUDO.COM - INTERNET TV NETWORK

To support the August 22 release of ''Beyond the Mat,'' Pseudo.com, the interactive broadband TV network, will feature banners and buttons on its daily wrestling show, ''Three Minutes of Pain,'' hosted by Pseudo EJ, ''Die Hard'' Derek Gordon. Discussions of the film will also be integrated during Pseudo's live, interactive wrestling-related programming blocks hosted by Gordon. The promotion launched July 24.
